For EX665UT/is / EW675UT/is / EX685UT/is / EW695UT/is
Modern technologies for professional light.
Whether in the theatre, cinema, filming, data and video projection, microchip production, medicine or airfield lighting - you can rely on the special lamps of the Display/Optic business unit. The technical sophistication of our short-arc and metal halide lamps and halogen lamps, manufactured with the highest precision, is as diverse as their areas of application.

The organisational combination of different functions in the Display/Optic business unit - from marketing to development, production, controlling, logistics and sales - enables us to react quickly to customer wishes and market changes. We guarantee customer proximity not only by structurally bundling entrepreneurial activities, but also by moving geographically ever closer to our customers. This proximity to our customers enables us to continuously improve our competences in the areas of quality, service and technology.

The Display/Optic business unit is divided into four business segments: Display Systems, Entertainment, Cinema and Semiconductor & Medical.

General information:
- Operating values and dimensions apply with the usual minor tolerances.
- A guarantee for the lamps can only be given if approved or declared suitable control gear is used.
- Proof of reference for ballasts and ignitors etc. on request. With the exception of the XBO, LINEX and XERADEX product families, all discharge lamps contain small quantities of environmentally relevant pollutants (e.g. mercury) and must therefore be properly disposed of in Europe under EWC code 06 04 04, waste containing mercury, or 20 01 21, fluorescent tubes and other waste containing mercury. In other countries, the respective national regulations must be observed.
- Technical changes and delivery possibilities are reserved.
- In general, these special lamps may only be operated in housings that prevent the irradiation of the environment with UV light and the escape of splinters.
- Information on safety and handling is available on request or can be found on the instruction leaflet or in the operating instructions.

Pacemakers of lighting progress.

Display Systems: We create light for images in all dimensions.
Many events only develop their full impact through impressive presentations. Just think of brilliant large-screen broadcasts at open-air events or professional multimedia presentations. To ensure that these images and information reach a large audience, OSRAM has developed extremely bright and durable light sources. In our Display Systems business segment, we have brought together all the lamps that are used to display images and data. These include, for example, innovative high-pressure discharge lamps that have been specially developed for multimedia data and video projections, as well as high-tech lighting solutions for flat screens.

Entertainment: With us, light becomes a light show.
The competition in the entertainment sector is getting tougher every year. Success only comes to those who put on the best show and thus reach the most fans. In addition to talent, creativity and energy, perfect technical implementation is becoming increasingly important. Lamps from OSRAM let the stars appear in radiant light right from the start. Our Entertainment business segment supplies lamps and lighting systems for a wide range of entertainment applications. So our customers - whether they are producers, directors, stage designers, discotheque operators or architects - always know where to find powerful, reliable light sources for the professional realisation of their creative lighting ideas. An OSCAR and an EMMY awarded for the HMI, as well as the PLASA Innovation Award for the aluPAR speak a clear language.

Cinema: our lamps provide the good picture in the cinema.
The cinema today fulfils a whole range of functions: as a meeting place for people of almost every age, as a place of dreams and fantasy, as a creative synthesis of image and sound - and not to forget: as a branch of industry in which many billions of euros are turned over every year. And yet none of this would exist without a small but all the more important invention: the artificial light source that made the projection of films possible in the first place. Our Cinema business segment offers customers in the cinema industry highly developed and enormously powerful special lamps for the projection of films. OSRAM builds on decades of tradition. In close and trusting cooperation with the film industry, we have continuously improved these lamps in terms of brightness, efficiency, durability and environmental protection. This is how we continue to thrill cinema fans all over the world!

Semiconductor & Medical: Our light gives birth to semiconductors and LCDs and enables doctors to diagnose.
Innovation can only be realised if the right tools are available. If extreme precision is required for manufacturing or testing a product, optical processes are irreplaceable. Special lamps from OSRAM provide the optimum light in these cases. Our Semiconductor & Medical business segment supplies lamps that provide precise illumination of surfaces with the right light source. This can be ultraviolet radiation used for cleaning or forming surfaces or required for microstructuring in semiconductor or LCD production. Daylight-like light from xenon lamps is used, for example, for medical diagnostics in endoscopy of hollow organs or body cavities. Infrared radiation from special halogen lamps is required above all for industrial applications, e.g. in the manufacture of integrated circuits. There, it is necessary to reliably achieve very high and precise temperatures in very short periods of time. To achieve the optimum result in every case, the lamps are precisely matched to work with the optical system and to the application.
