Version K5211
Product name:
Klick&Show Plus
File size:
930 MB
Release Date:April
, 2025
Changes/improvements:
- The extensively revised Klick&Show app for Windows and macOS now supports software-based wireless transmission of laptop content at resolutions up to 4K @ 30Hz or 1080p @ 60Hz, instead of the previous 1080p @ 30Hz.
- Implementation of the innovative "Dual Desktop" feature for simultaneous streaming of the primary and extended desktops during BYOM meetings.
- Implementation of the "Share Local Content" feature, which allows the main display to be mirrored to a laptop so that local content can also be shared with remote participants in a BYOM call. The now-optimized feature also displays a red border on the main display to alert all local participants to its use for security reasons.
- Implementation of the new "Start BYOM" feature. This feature allows you to Klick&Show K-FX Plus in such a way that the BYOM function (and thus the automatic launch of the app when connecting a 4K transmitter) only activates after pressing a corresponding function key; otherwise, K-FX Plus behaves like a “BYOD” device.
- When using the Klick&Show 4K Transmitter, the options for customizing the two function buttons have been expanded and now provide direct access to the following functions:
- Full Screen, Pause (Freeze), HDMI Switching, Share Local Content, Camera Switching, USB Hub Switching, Dual Desktop, Start BYOM.
- When using the Klick&Show 4K Transmitter, the ability to customize the Show button has been implemented. Pressing and holding the button for 2 seconds provides direct access to the following functions:
- Full screen, dual desktop.
- The individual parameters of the network status bar can now be hidden on a customer-specific basis if an administrator wishes to do so for security reasons.
- Implementation of the "Reset Session" security feature, which provides visual feedback on the number of active connections in the meeting and allows users to immediately disconnect all active connections if particularly stringent data protection requirements necessitate it.
- Expanded configuration options for dual-display operation, such that the first source displayed can now be mirrored on both displays even in "4+1" and "1+4" modes. Only when additional sources are added do the displays show different content.
- Display of the firmware version on the home screen and optimization of the MAIN/SUB display to indicate the primary and secondary displays on the K-FX Plus.
- Commands for HDMI switching, camera switching, and USB hub switching have been added to the RS232/TELNET command set.
- The factory setting for the USB hub switching mode has been changed from "Automatic" to "Wireless (BYOM)." This makes the initial setup with third-party USB devices easier, as the system now detects external USB devices more quickly.
- Various minor changes and improvements.
Bug fixes:
- An issue has been resolved where audio output on the base unit was not sufficiently synchronized with the video.
Resolves an issue where, in some cases, the AirPlay function did not work when using an Apple mobile device running iOS 18.01 or later.
The issue described in Firmware History K5206 under “Known Issues, Point 1” regarding the use of the third-party product Sennheiser TeamConnect Bar S/M has been resolved.
Various minor bug fixes.
Known errors:
- No entries.
Other:
- This firmware version represents a comprehensive upgrade with important improvements and is therefore recommended for all users.
- After installing the firmware, it is strongly recommended that you perform a reset in order to correctly initialize the parameters for new functions.

Klick&Show Plus
File size:
894 MB
Release Date:September 2024
Changes/improvements:
- Optimization of the home screen design with the introduction of newly designed pop-up notification windows.

- The language translation of the available options for customizing the GPI function settings has been optimized and standardized.
- The "Pause Transmission (Freeze)" function, which can be activated either by pressing the auxiliary button on the 4K transmitter or by Klick&Show app, has been optimized and now overlays the access parameters at the top of the screen.
- This allows participants using either Klick&Show app or native protocols, and the parameters required for connection—such as device name and PIN—are briefly displayed.
- The animated Klick&Show homKlickandShowreen can now be customized for each customer if an administrator wishes to change the Klick&Show driver in a different location (e.g., on the internal company network) and wants to display this information accordingly on the home screen for users.
- The options for using a custom home screen have been significantly improved. A loaded custom background can now be displayed in full-screen mode without the network status bar that previously appeared at the top of the screen. Additionally, you can choose to display the QR code for easy connection setup on mobile devices over a custom home screen.
- (Note: A custom logo can no longer be used in this situation.)
- Even when using the digital signage feature, the network status bar no longer overlays the top portion of the screen; instead, the display is full-screen, with the option to show access parameters either minimized or not.
- Various minor changes and improvements. Devices designed for use with future production batches of the 4K transmitters, which require updated firmware drivers.
Bug fixes:

- Only then should the pairing of existing transmitters and further configuration take place.
Version K5202
Product name:
Klick&Show Plus
File size:
892 MB
Release Date:
August 2024
Changes/improvements:
- A new "Plug&Play" version of the BYOM driver now allows, when used with a Klick&Show transmitter, even without administrator rights.
- (Note: The necessary driver components will be downloaded via Windows Update once a transmitter is connected. The download typically takes 2–3 minutes. In rare cases, if the driver has not been automatically downloaded and installed after this time, please check your internet connection or open Windows Settings -> Windows Update and click “Check for updates” to manually initiate the download.)
- New filter/sort function in the Klick&Show app, allowing you to filter the selection list after scanning for existing base stations on the network for faster access.
- Optimization of the home screen design and introduction of a new Klick&Show icon.
- Newly designed status icons on the home screen display the operating mode of the connected UC devices during K-FX Plus hub switching:
- BYOM operation on a user's laptop or wired signal transmission to a desktop PC.
- On new 4K transmitters, the functions assigned to the two function buttons can be customized. The following options are available:
- USB hub switching, camera switching, display content sharing (from the main screen), HDMI switching, pause transmission (freeze).
- The new "USB SWITCH" button on the K-FX Plus is disabled by default to prevent accidental operation. Once the button function is enabled, you can choose between the following modes: automatic switching, BYOM only, or USB-B host pass-through only.
- A new setting has been added to the web configuration menu to hide the date and time display on the home screen. This can prevent the display of inaccurate times if the date and time have not been configured manually and/or if devices cannot communicate with online time servers.
- In the "Wireless Network" web submenu, the option to configure the internal access point is disabled if the administrator is currently connected to the web menu via a wireless connection, as this would otherwise interrupt their connection. A message now appears advising the user to make the desired changes via a wired Ethernet connection.
- Optimizing stability and performance for AirPlay streaming
- K-FX Plus now supports AirPlay streaming at up to 4K UHD resolution.
- The new dual-screen feature of K-FX Plus can be configured in three modes: Mirroring, 4+1, and 1+4.
- Option to customize the assignment of the 2 GPI contacts on the K-FX Plus. Available options include: USB hub switching, camera switching, and HDMI switching
Bug fixes:
- The issue that has existed since the release of Apple macOS version 14.1 Sonoma, which causes an error in the installation routine of the virtual BYOM driver from Klick&Show on macOS, causing the video driver installation to fail, has been resolved. Due to stricter privacy policies in macOS Sonoma, please refer to our notes on macOS Sonoma in the “Documentation” section of this page.
- Various minor bug fixes.
